ER attended the ribbon cutting for Sandorf Park. ER began work on the area back in June of this year on the community park adjacent to an elementary school in Southeast Indianapolis. Located atop a historic industrial landfill, high levels of metals, PAH’s, and foundry slag contamination were found in the park soils while testing for a community revitalization project. ER’s remediation effort provided a clean soil cap of the underlying contamination, storm water system upgrades, and surface water retention improvements. After $8M in park improvements, this new and improved area provides a safe and exciting playground for children in the area.
